Freedom & Fiddling Festival
The Leitchfield Freedom Festival combines with the Twin Lakes National Fiddler’s Championship for double the fun. Held the 3rd weekend in July at the Courthouse Square! FREE admission, rides, entertainment!
Festivities will begin on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 6:00 pm with the WKCC Cruise In and “City of Leitchfield 150th Birthday Celebration” on the courthouse square! Lots of food and free fun! Local favorite Elvie Shane will perform from 7:00 -8:30 pm! Fireworks will be at dusk!
On Saturday, the fun begins early on the Courthouse Square. In addition to the competition on the east side of the square, the Leitchfield Freedom Festival events are held all around the square with vendor booths, crafts, amusement rides and activities for the kids, a car “Cruise-In’, Sponsored by the Western Kentucky Car Club.

The Twin Lakes Fiddle Festival Queen Pageant will be held on Friday, July 8th, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the Centre on Main. Admission cost for the pageant is $3, and ages 10 and under are free.
The pageant is open to any young lady residing in Kentucky.
The Little Miss (7-9), Little Princess (10-12) and Princess (13-15) will be judged in evening wear only. The Queen (16-21) will wear TBDfor the opening segment and evening wear in the second segment.
A winner, first, second, and third runner-up, will be chosen for Little Miss, Little Princess, Princess and Queen. The crowned Queen will receive a tiara, sash, ribbon, trophy, $100 and will be eligible for the Miss Kentucky Festival Pageant competition held in Lexington. The winning Princess will receive a crown, ribbon and trophy. The Little Princess will receive a crown, ribbon, and trophy. The Little Miss will receive a crown, ribbon, and trophy. First, Second and Third Runner-Up winners in each category will be presented with ribbons.
The annual 4H 5K Freedom Run/Walk will begin on Friday 7/16, with registration at 7:00 a.m.
